State Health and GA Breeze

SHBP and GA Breeze benefits will end on the last day of the month the employee was separated from Hapeville Charter.

Example: If an employee’s last day is May 6th the employees SHBP and GA Breeze will end May 30th.

If an employee is leaving Hapeville Charter to work at another GA Public School that has State Health and GA Breeze benefits, his/her benefits will transfer to the new school/district with no laps in coverage.

COBRA: Employees can extend SHBP and some GA Breeze benefits past their employment utilizing COBRA. To extend coverage under COBRA, separated employees will need to contact the agencies on their own to setup the extensions.

The employer paid involuntary benefits through Principal will end the same day as the employee’s last date of employment.
